Refering to the map - the best lively beaches (Praias in Portuguese) with lots going on are as follows: - Geriba, do Canto, Joao Fernandes ( good for fishing trips) and good fresh fish and lobster dishes at the bars and restaurants. Ferradura ( good for sailing and diving). More secluded quiet beaches include:- Azeda, Azedinha, do Forno, Ferradurinha . All 4 are good diving spots. Rasa, Baia Formosa and Manguinhos are good sailing centers.
